This weekend Worship Outreach hosted the annual Worship at the Lake. They combined efforts with Discipleship to enhance the gathering. The event took place at Winfield Lake.

Martin Rude, director of outreach ministries, said, “It is an annual event that’s gone on for several years in Discipleship. It is part of their beginning of the year ‘get to know each other’ programming.”

During the event there was a campfire and s’mores. The weather was nice which really helped the event be successful.

Molly Just, director of Discipleship said “I thought it was a good representation of different organizations coming together.”

The music played during worship was provided by students and Martin Rude on drums. The acoustic guitars and drum are a must for any camp fire.

Carlene Dick, psychology junior, said, “When we first started to sing and everyone started singing at once I think that was really cool. The fire was kind of growing at that point. We just felt really united, it was really neat.”

Worship at the Lake went well thanks to the work of both groups.
