The women’s soccer team struggled in their third consecutive home game Wednesday against the first place Ottawa Braves. The women were shutout for the fifth time in their past seven games, losing 5-0. The loss dropped the Builders to 1-12-1 overall and 0-5-1 in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Ottawa scored four of their five goals in the first half to go into halftime with a comfortable lead. They did not score again until there was only approximately six minutes remaining in the game.

Southwestern plays in their final home game of the year at 6 p.m. Saturday against the 6-5-2 Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes. The Builders will have their hands full as the Coyotes are currently undefeated in KCAC play.
