The women’s basketball team lost 91-54 Nov 10. The game took place at Hastings College in Hastings, Neb. Tuesday night. The Hastings College Lady Broncos are ranked fourth in the NAIA. Coming off of this loss with a 0-2 record, the team is looking at this weekend’s Tara Patterson Memorial Coca-Cola Classic as an opportunity for improvement. Dave Denly, head women’s basketball coach said, “We need to improve on our mental toughness, our execution in the half court on offense, and we need to make a commitment to doing the little things that make a difference in the game. I thought we had some very good plays from certain players. Effort was good. We did some things that were improvements, but our weakness is that when you play a very good team they’re going to expose the things that you’re not very good at, and that’s what happened to us. We just need to learn from what our mistakes have been, and go to work and have a better outcome Friday night.”
