The women’s basketball team improved to 2-0 this week after their opening with wins against Dallas Christian College and Hillsdale Freewill Baptist during the Tara Patterson Memorial Classic at Stewart Field House. They dominated Hillsdale 76-39. Brett Bates, junior guard, was the high scorer of the game with 14 points. She was named MVP of the tournament. The women played yesterday at Southwestern Christian University. Results were not available at press time. They play again Friday at home versus Hastings College.
The volleyball team ended its season with a loss in three games to Kansas Wesleyan University Nov. 6. The women ended with a 1-17 record in the KCAC, a 2-22 overall record, and had a streak of 13 losses after the final match. They were downed 25-11 in the first game before coming back to 17 and 18 points in games two and three respectively. They graduate two seniors in Randi Dierksen and Stacie Hinkel.
