Volleyball earned their first win of the season Wednesday night in Stewart Fieldhouse. The Lady Builders competed in a triangular first taking on Stephens College.

The Builders fought hard but weren’t able to overcome the Stars and dropped the matches 25-15, 25-20, and 25-16 respectively.

Brittaney Craddock, senior hitter, led the team in kills with seven. Craddock also led the team in digs adding six.

The second game told a better story for the Lady Builders. Hillsdale Free Will Baptist was conquered in three matches. SC won the first 25-19 then widened the gap for the second match, 25-14, and skating by to finish off the night, 25-21.

Chasity Clark, senior hitter, led the team racking up 12 kills on the night. Carly Matthews held up the Southwestern defense with 16 digs.

The Builders return to action on August 28 in the St. Thomas Tournament in Houston, Texas. John Brown is their first match up scheduled for 3 PM.
