The football team had two Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week during the Builders’ 34-21 win over Bethany College Oct. 17.
Nick Koch, junior defensive back, received the Defensive Player of the Week. Koch intercepted two passes for a total of 13 yards during the game.
Jordan Barrett, freshman quarterback, was awarded the Offensive Player of the Week. Barrett rushed for one touchdown during the win and completed 26 of 39 passes for a total of 301 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
The win over Bethany marked the first for the Builders this season, breaking a five-game losing streak. The men play next at 1:30 p.m. October 24 at McPherson College. The Bulldogs are 4-1 in the conference. Their only loss came in a double overtime game against undefeated Ottawa University.
