The Lady Builder basketball team overwhelmed the score keepers Friday night as they put up point after point against Dallas Christian College, finishing the game 104-33. The game was the first of two in the Tara Patterson Memorial Classic.
It was clearly a one-sided game from the first whistle. The Lady Builders outplayed, outshot, and outran their opponents, ending the first half with a score of 53-14 in their favor.
The second half was much like the first. The home crowd went wild with each basket bringing the team closer to 100 points. The gym exploded when that basket was made. But Southwestern wasn’t finished. They would put up four more points, just for fun.
The game’s top scorers included Brittney Chamberlin, junior guard, with 18 points and Ellen Blattner, senior forward, Zefiryn Bryan, sophomore forward, both with 12 points each.
Southwestern will next take on Culver-Stockton Saturday at 4 p.m.
