Lady Builder softball split with Oklahoma Wesleyan Thursday evening in their last home game of the season. The games were at the Black Creek Park field. The first was a win 4-3 and the second a 9-5 loss.

The first inning was offense packed for both teams. Oklahoma Wesleyan jumped out to a 3-0 lead after their first chance at bat.

Southwestern answered right back adding three runs of their own. The game was dead until the sixth when the Builders plated one more run to seal the game 4-3.

The second game took the Builders awhile to get the sticks going.

The Eagles added only one run in the first to take a 1-0 lead. They added five runs in the third making it 6-0 and OKWU never looked back.

Southwestern fought back in the third adding two runs to be down 6-2.

Oklahoma Wesleyan added a run in the fourth and one in the sixth to break the lead open to 8-2. The Builders made their last stand hitting in three runs in the sixth and bettering the score to 8-5.

The Eagles hit in one more run in the seventh to reach the final score of 9-5.

The Lady Builders end the regular season 10-28 on the year. They are headed to conference tournament as the eight seed and will play Friends University. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m., April 29 at the Great Bend Sports Complex, Great Bend, Kan.
