The South Central Spring Invitational took place Monday and Tuesday at the Winfield Country Club.
The women and men both competed at the event. In the women’s group, there were eleven schools competing, whereas the men competed with four other schools.
The Lady Builders finished first in the Invitational with a score of 721. Hannah Mason, junior biology major, carded the best score with 171 shots in the 36 hole round.
Southwestern men’s golf team ended up third out of the five competing schools. The Builders shot 642 throughout the 36 holes. Shane Gilbert, junior business administration major, led the team with a combined score of 155. Gilbert finished third individually.
The golf teams will travel to Garden City, Kan. to compete in their last tournament of the year.
