Softball gained a big win in a split over Friends University Tuesday evening. The first was a loss but only by one run, 4-5. The second was won also by just a single run, 7-6.

The Falcons lead 5-1 heading into the seventh inning. Southwestern gave it their best shot scoring three but did not have enough in their tank to pull out the win.

The second game was a better turnout for the Builders. Southwestern never trailed throughout the seven innings. They added seven runs in just the first three innings.

Friends gave Southwestern a scare in the sixth and seventh innings scoring three innings in each.  The Builders were able to hold off the conference-leading Falcons and steal the win.

Southwestern plays next at Sterling College Saturday at 1 and 3 PM. Their overall record is 6-22 and 2-8 in the KCAC.
