Two organizations received allocations to raise funds when Student Government Association met Oct. 29. Tavinia Tucker, President, led the meeting. There were five executives present along with thirteen Senators.
The first allocation was for Tri Beta. They asked for 200 dollars to pay for a rental van and gas. The organization plans to use the vans to take a group of students on an educational trip to Kansas University Medical Center. The allocation passed with a unanimous vote.
The Tonebuilders wanted 50 dollars to help pay for lunch on Nov. 14. It is a ‘lunch with leaders’. This allocation was also approved.
The last allocation was the second from the Tonebuilders. They asked for 20 dollars per member for their organization. The twenty dollars will cover a membership fee for different professional development opportunities. All together for this allocation they received 160 dollars.
The next SGA meeting will be at 8:30 Nov. 5 in the Campus Life Office.
