The women’s volleyball team wanted to come out of a losing streak. Friends University was their next opponent. The game was played at Stewart Field House on Sept. 27.

Friends is a rival from the KCAC conference, and they started playing well. The first set ended with a 25-8 victory for Friends University. The second set, as well, was won by the Falcons 25-21.

Ashley Bruno, freshman defensive specialist, said, “Every point matters and we need to get excited on every point and don’t get down when someone makes an error.”

The third set ended with a final victory for Friends University, 25-21.

The Lady Builders lost 3 sets to 0. This makes the women’s volleyball record 3-15 this season.

“We are working on passing, serving, and coming together as a team,” said Kelsey Gabriel, freshman defensive specialist. Their next game will be against University of St. Mary at the Stewart Field House on Oct. 30.
