Lauren Whitney, freshman midfielder, scored the first goal late in the first half as Ottawa shutout the Lady Builders 2-0 Wednesday evening at Richard L. Jantz Stadium.

Ottawa moves ahead of Southwestern with the win. They are now 9-4 overall and 3-1 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, moving them to the no.3 spot. Southwestern falls one spot with a 7-5 overall record and 3-2 conference record.

The Lady Builders travel to Leavenworth to take on the Lady Spires of the University of Saint Mary Sunday. The Lady Spires are 7-5-2 overall and 3-2 in the KCAC.
