After reconstruction of the team’s coaching staff, the men’s soccer team had a promising second game against Newman University on Monday. Although not a conference game, the men still showed up ready to play leading the whole first half 1-0 after a goal by Max Beaver, sophomore forward. Newman came back strong after half time and rallied back to win 5-1. Three of Newman’s goals were scored off corner kicks.

The team will travel to Joplin, Missouri on Sept. 4 to take on Ozark Christian. The game starts at 3 pm.
