Men’s soccer lost to Bethany College. The game ended in a 4-2 loss on Oct 16.

The crowd exploded in enthusiasm in the first half when Bethany player Angelo Alessi passed the ball to the keeper and it rolled into the net for a 1-0 Mondbuilders lead.

Bethany quickly retaliated when they loaded a rocket shot from the left corner of the keeper box, tying the game.

Shortly after, Mayo Akintunde, junior midfielder, headed the ball in for a 2-1 Moundbuilder lead, off of a pass from Jordan Garcia, junior midfielder.

The second half of the game was completely commanded by Bethany when they scored off a free kick at 56:12, a 10 foot shot at 61:56, and a good old fashioned regular goal at 65:13.

There was a lot of back and forth between the last goal and the end of the game, with both team’s goalies blocking all shots.

The men host the Bethel Threshers Oct. 19 at 8 p.m.
