When the men’s golf team tees off on Monday, rankings won’t matter.

Still, it looks as if they’ll have a good shot at winning. The men currently lead the eight schools who will compete in the KCAC Golf Tournament April 26 and 27. The tournament will be in Garden City. Other teams competing are Bethany, Bethel, Friends, Kansas Wesleyan, Ottawa and Sterling.

The men bring four of the top five players into the tournament. Jared Paul, business senior, goes in ranked first. Raleigh Hughes, business administration sophomore, is second; Kenneth Wright, business administration senior, is third and Tim Jasper, business sophomore, is fifth.

The winner of the tournament will receive triple the amount of points as other season tournaments. The overall season winner will get to compete at the national tournament.

The women will attend the Regional Golf Tournament in Oklahoma City April 26.
