Unable to define the game in 90 minutes, the Lady Builders took St. Gregory’s University Lady Cavaliers to overtime. The game wasn’t resolved in the 20 extra minutes either and ended in a 1-1 tie.

The Lady Builders dominated the entire game, but St. Gregory’s scored first. The Lady Cavaliers went up in the scoreboard early in the second half as the shot beat Olyvia Bish, freshman goalkeeper.

From there on, the Lady Builders put forward their defensive lines and started pressuring high. The women’s team out shot St. Gregory with 17 goals and only nine of those on frame.

The goal for the Lady Builders finally came in the 62nd minute when Nicole Mound, junior forward, found the net. The game went to overtime in which both teams looked tired and unable to score.

With this tie, the Lady Builders add their first tie of the season and stand 3-3-1. They will return to action on Sept. 24 when they host Central Christian. Kick-off is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. in Richard L. Jantz Stadium.
