The Lady Builder Volleyball team continued the hunt for their first Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference win tonight in Leavenworth against the University of Saint Mary Spires.

The Lady Builders entered this away game with a 7-15 overall record for the season and a 0-11 record in the KCAC.

Saint Mary volleyball approached tonight’s match up with a similar overall record of 7-16 and a 3-8 record in KCAC play.

After 5 grueling sets the Lady Builders fell to the Lady Spires 3-2. After coming out with a strong start going 29-27, 25-17, the Builders simmered out. The following three sets were won by Saint Mary as 25-21, 25-17 and 15-9.

The Lady Builders will be back in action Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. in Stewart Field House against Sterling College. The theme for the home game is Dig Pink to support Breast Cancer awareness.
