The Lady Builder softball team started with the right foot their 2012-13 season. The team arrived to the match after not playing their first five games.

The softball team was scheduled to open their season at Friends University, but due to the weather, it did not happen.

Southwestern Lady Builders confronted the Hillsdale Free Will Baptist Lady Saints two times March 5 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The Lady Builders took both games 8-0 and 18-3.

With this first game gone, the Lady Builders stand 2-0 in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

They will continue to play March 8 and 9 when they hit to road to participate in the McPherson Spring Tournament.

The Lady Builders will play against Central Christian (Kansas) at 8 a.m. Nebraska Wesleyan at12 p.m. and Rogers State (Oklahoma) at 4 p.m. on Friday. Then on Saturday, the softball team will face Morningside (Iowa) at noon and Doane (Nebraska) at 2 p.m.
