Lady Builder volleyball fell three straight sets to the Bethel Threshers (25-23, 25-19, 28-26). Service errors are what hurt the Builders with a total of 12. Getting behind in long runs made it a daunting task to catch up but a valiant team effort to fight to stay in the game was evident.

Abby Warnke, sophomore middle, hit for .250% with five kills.

“We’ve still got games ahead of us that we are going to fight to win,” said Warnke.

Rachel Vieyra, sophomore setter, had 20 assists with two kills and Brittaney Craddock, junior outside hitter, contributed nine digs with nine kills.

Sarah Loesing, junior outside hitter, had seven kills with eight digs against the Threshers.

“This team is a family and we have each other’s backs through everything,” said Loesing.

Carolina Garbato, head volleyball coach, said, “It’s not us. Then who? It’s not now. Then when?”

“The girls are playing as a unit and work well together, but we just fell short,” said Garbato.

The Lady Builders will play Saint Mary at 7 p.m on Oct. 4 in the Field House.
