Lady Builders softball traveled to Arizona expecting to raise their record but failed to get a win on Wednesday; day two of the Tucson Invitational.

The first matchup of the day was against Oklahoma Baptist. The Builders lost sight of the victory when Oklahoma Baptist had a huge fifth inning. Lady Builders lost 0-6 and then looked to Avila.

The game against Avila was called short due to run-rules. Lady Builders lost 11-2 in five innings. Mary Reilly’s fifth inning homerun came too late to save the Builders from a loss.

The last game of the day that wrapped up the tournament for the Lady Builders was against Dickinson State. Dickinson came out on fire and never looked back to clench the 10-2 win in five innings.

The Lady Builders are returning to Winfield for a double header against McPherson March 25 starting at 4 pm.
