The Lady Builders improve their record to 4-1 with a huge victory over Southwestern Christian. With this win, Dave Denly, women’s head coach, picks up his 300th W in the win column.

The Lady’s made a statement to their upcoming opponents when they went on to win by 41 points. The final score was 106-65. The Builders were led by Tiffany Rieger, freshman guard, with 21 points.

Montana Rickey, junior guard and forward, said, “We need to work on starting the halves strong. We allow teams to hang around with us and that gives them hope.”

Despite the win, the Builders still have work to do. “We have to rebound, attack the basketball, and get to the free throw line,” said Coach Denly.

The players agree with Coach Denly when it comes to rebounding. “We need to learn the importance of rebounding. Once we grabbed some boards we had more transition opportunities down the stretch,” said Jessica Hobbs, sophomore guard.

The Lady Builders will take on Southwestern Assembly Of God Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. in Sterling for the Sterling College Classic.
