The Lady Builders got their sixth consecutive win last night against the Lady Swedes 64-43. Right off the bat the Builders ran away with a five point lead. The Swedes didn’t get closer than 14 points.

The win improved the Lady Builder’s record to 20-6 overall, and 13-4 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference . They remain third overall in the KCAC rankings, four wins ahead of Bethel.

Brett Bates, junior guard, had another amazing night leading the Lady Builders with 18 points. Bates also had four assist on the night.

Southwestern shot the ball in a decent fashion hitting 29.7% from the field, 30.4% from the three point line. They also dominated from the line shooting 65.5%.

Dave Denly, head coach, said, “The only problem we had tonight was just not making as many free throws as we would like, but defensively we were the best we have been all season.”

The Lady Builders will tipoff at 5 p.m. Feb. 19 in Stewart Field House against University of St. Mary. Saturday’s game will be the last regular season game before KCAC playoffs and is also senior night.
