The Lady Builder team starts the season off right with a win against Southwestern Christian Eagles. The Builders lost the first two sets 20-25, and 23-25.

Southwestern fought back in the third and came out with a win, 25-16.

Kaitlynn Fears, junior defensive specialist, “We have never had this come back before. Everyone, the new freshman and transfers, just brought this new team and it’s definitely something to be excited about.”

Donnie Wallace, head coach, said “I was very proud of my team. Seeing my team be so down, and fight back was a high point.”

The Moundbuilders finished strong and won the last two sets 25-19, and 15-11.

For the next game Brianna Thorpe, sophomore setter, said the teams needs to be consistent and execute more.

This Friday the Lady Builders play in a tournament at Marshall, Mo. Wallace said “The challenge is going to be able to maintain that consistent focus.”
