Despite falling on their last regular-conference game, the Lady Builder soccer team managed to advance to playoffs with extra help from Bethany. The Swedes beat the McPherson Lady Bulldogs and made them drop to the seventh spot.

The Lady Builders fell by the minimum difference, 1-0, against the Sterling Lady Warriors. The solitary goal came in early 12 minutes into the first half of the game when Noel Munoz, defender, beat Olyvia Bish, freshman goalkeeper.

After being down early in the game, the Lady Builders kept pressuring and shooting without finding the net. The team outshot the Lady Warriors but only put one shot on frame. Katie Frank, sophomore midfielder, led the Lady Builder attack with two shots.

With this loss of 4-2 against the Lady Warriors, the Lady Builders end up with their regular conference run standing 3-5-1 and grab the sixth place of the regular conference tournament.

They will face Sterling, once again, for the opening round of the playoffs. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. on Friday Nov. 7 at Smisor Stadium.
