Southwestern volleyball (KCAC 0-18) lost to the Tabor Bluejays (KCAC 10-6) in Stewart Field House on Senior Night. The Moundbuilders fell short to the Bluejays in sets one, two and three with scores of 18-25, 15-25 and 18-25. The Lady Builders are graduating two seniors this year, Kaley Rodriguez and Jordan Stalder. Rodriguez and Stalder both had family members in the crowd to support them in their last match as Builders.

Donnie Wallace, head volleyball coach, said, “We are losing a lot of leadership and emotion losing Kaley and Jordan.”

Southwestern is a school to have plenty of experiences. Rodriguez said, “Southwestern was a challenging journey but I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Stalder will miss many things about playing at Southwestern, but what she will miss most is her teammates. “My teammates are like a family to me,” said Stalder. Senior Night wraps up the season for the Lady Builders with an overall record of 7-22. You can catch the Builders back in action next fall as they start off the new 2013-14 season.
