The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference announced two SC women’s track and field members as athletes of the week.
Anjaih Clemons, business administration junior, is the KCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. Clemons swept the 200 meter and 400 meter races for the third week in a row when she won the events at the Pittsburg State Invitational April 10. Clemons won the 200 with a time of 25.50 seconds and the 400 with a provisional qualifying time of 57.82 seconds. Clemons is leading the conference in both races.
Paige Carswell, journalism junior, is the KCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week. Carswell won the long jump at Pittsburg State with a provisional qualifying mark of 17 feet, 10 3/4 inches and was second in the triple jump with an automatic qualifier of 37 feet, 10 inches.
