Southwestern College golfer Courtney Huppert has been named the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Women’s Golfer of the Week by the national office.  Huppert was selected based on her performance from April 18-24 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, independent and unaffiliated golfers.

Huppert fired a 73-77—150 on her way to taking top honors by four shots at the Unaffiliated Group Tournament for the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference, and Red River Athletic Conference that took place April 16 – 17. The junior from Trophy Club, Texas, posted a 1-over-par 73 at Rose Creek Golf Course in Oklahoma City, for the first round’s low score.

By winning this individual championship, Huppert automatically qualifies to participate in the National Championships.
