The Lady Builders are one win away from a perfect season after they edge out a victory over Ottawa University Thursday night. They are now 17-0 in conference play.

With 3:42 remaining in the first half, Jordan Hobbs, junior guard, made a three point bucket to give the Ladies their first lead of the game.

The ladies proceeded on a short scoring run after the go-ahead bucket. They extended their lead and went into the locker room on top 36-30.

The six-point lead at half was the largest spread. The second half went back and forth between both teams.

Southwestern was 40 percent from inside and 55 percent from three point range. On the other hand, Ottawa was 33 percent from short range and 19 percent from beyond the arch.

The Hobbs twins, Jordan and Jessica, both junior guards, led the Lady Builders with 33 combined points. Jordan had 18 and Jessica had 15.

The Lady Builders had 43 rebounds. Jana Reichenberger, sophomore forward led her team with eight boards.

The ladies are looking to go undefeated as they play McPherson at 5p.m. Sat. 22 in Stewart Field House.
