Southwestern College golf teams hosted a team tournament in Winfield, the South Central Fall Invitational. SC was successful as the home team.

Raleigh Hughes, senior, said, “As a team we were very successful, we played pretty good both days and came out with a win.”

Hughes did the best individually. His two day total was 1 over par, shooting a 76 the first day and a 69 the second day. The runner up was Jordan Lytton, who shot 72-74.

Hannah Mason, freshmen, said, “Courtney Hubbert did best on the girl’s side. She went 78-89 for her two day score. What affected us as players the most was ourselves we determine how we play.”

“The Builders had the home advantage, so that added to their success,” said Hughes.

Both the men’s and women’s golf teams got first place. There were 11 men’s teams competing and 5 women’s.
