The Men’s basketball team added another win to their belt Thursday against the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles.

Cameron Clark, senior forward, led the team with 24 points. Lennell Monroe, senior forward, followed close behind with 19 points. Clark and Monroe also had 9 and 10 rebounds respectively.

As a team, Southwestern had a total of 38 rebounds to the Eagles’ 29. The men also tallied 15 assists, 2 blocks, 11 steals, and 17 turnovers.

The Eagles began the game with a 2-point lead until 38 seconds into the game when Monroe scored Southwestern’s first of many points. Almost a minute into the game, Clark scored the first 3-pointer. The Builders then led the Eagles throughout the entire game, even finding themselves with a 20-point lead in the third quarter.

The Builders won 77-58 over the Eagles bringing their record to 15-4 in the season and 7-3 in KCAC play.

Looking for their 16th win, the men will travel to McPherson to play McPherson College at 5pm on Jan. 16.
