Men’s basketball got their revenge Thursday night with a big win over Bethany, 77-63. The last time these two teams met Southwestern lost by 4, 97-93.
Watching the player’s reaction to big plays made it easy to tell how much this win meant to the Builders. The team was excited and made sure the crowd knew it.
The Builders went into halftime of the game with a 16 point lead and never looked back.
Southwestern shot 55.2 percent from the field while the Swedes shot 37.1 percent.
Cameron Clark, junior guard, led all scorers with 25 points and also grabbed eight rebounds. Chris Waller, junior guard, pitched in 16 points and William Tisdale, senior forward, added 10.
Southwestern moves to 8-5 in KCAC play, fighting for a top spot in the rankings.
The Builders return to action Saturday at KCAC rivals, Friends University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm.
