The 12th annual Tara Patterson Memorial Classic started Friday night. The Builders lost the game against William Woods 81-83.
In the first half of the game Southwestern managed to keep evening the score with a great defense. But the defense was not enough ending the first half with a score of 36-44. Southwestern pulled 6 fouls and 10 for William Woods.
During the second half Woods held the lead. The score in the last 30 seconds was tied by Southwestern 80-80. William Woods managed to get three points ahead.
Dave Denley, athletic director and head women’s basketball coach, said, “We made a nice run. Courtney Watson had a tremendous game, Catherine Crammer gave us the spark we needed. We made the shots. Jessica Hobbs played well.”
The Lady Builders will be playing Haskell Indian Nation at 3 p.m. on Nov. 15 at Stewart Field House.
