Saturday evening, the Builder football team topped Kansas Wesleyan University 24-14. This game was the opener for conference games in the 2013 season.

Southwestern ended the game with 437 total offensive yards on 84 plays.

Brady May, senior quarterback, completed 13 of 27 pass attempts for a total of 131 yards. The defense did its part picking up 4 interceptions throughout the game.

Kansas Wesleyan was coming off a big win against the number 22 ranked Evangel 38-28 last weekend.

The Builders are now 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.

The team’s next outing is at Friends University on Sept. 28, 7 PM.
