The Lady Builder volleyball team got swept Monday night by Friends University. The first of the two sets were lost 25-18, and the third set was lost 25-16.

Southwestern showed a little bit of fight in the third as they fought back to 17-16, though they weren’t able to finish it out.

Kaitlynn Munoz, sophomore settler, said, “It felt good to actually make them fight. To be the underdog and give them a run for their money.”

Blaire Miller, freshman right side, led the team with seven kills. Miller said getting big blocks was her favorite part of the game though.

The Moundbuilders recorded a solid 21 kills and 10 blocks on the night.

For next game Ashley Schoenhofer, freshman middle hitter, said the team needs to get more kills.

This Wednesday the Lady Builders host Tabor College for the last game of the season.
Schoenhofer said, “It’d be amazing to get the win Wednesday night because it’s senior night and the last game of the season.”
