The Lady Builder softball team swept Sterling College today, after losing two games to Ottawa last weekend. This earns the Builders their first two KCAC conference wins, with the count standing at 2-4.

Southwestern won the first game by 5-0. Sophomore pitcher Rachel Baker had a good outing on the mound, almost pitching a perfect game. Good batting and consistent defense also contributed to a Builder sweep of Sterling.

Despite Sterling coming back in the second game, Lady Builder defense hung on to win 7-6. These two wins bring Southwestern’s record to 9-14 overall.

The Lady Builders match up against Haskell Indian Nations on April 14 at 4:00 P.M. Their next conference game has them playing Bethel on April 17.
