The Moundbuilders hosted the Bethany Swedes Saturday afternoon.

Southwestern beat the Swedes 28-21 in the homecoming game.

The first touchdown of the game was scored by Spencer Pullen for the Builders.

The first quarter ended 7-0. Southwestern in the lead.

At half time the 2013 homecoming court was announced. Homecoming king was presented to Christopher Paddock and homecoming queen, Madeline Chapin.

The top four teams for homecoming events were also announced. In fourth place was women’s basketball, third leadership, second discipleship, and taking first place was the tennis team.

In the second half of the game the Swedes scored taking the lead 10-7. The Moundbuilders took the game right back though with another touchdown from Pullen making the score 14-10.

Pullen scored his third touchdown in the fourth quarter. He was named offensive player of the game with 29 carries, 156 yards, and three touchdowns.

The Swedes made a touchdown in the fourth quarter making it a tie ball game. With 15 seconds left in the game SC, Joe Vargas, scored a touchdown and sealed the win for the Builders.

The ending score was 28-21. The next home game is Oct. 19 hosting Bethel College.
