The homecoming bonfire began around 9:45 p.m. and many of the attendees had just finished practice just before the event began. Students of every year, sport and major showed up to the annual homecoming bonfire last night. MC’d by Bryan Kilpotric, business senior, and Sheldon Hawthorne, accounting senior, the student body enjoyed the night of fun, friends and dancing. There was even an appearance made by the Jinx mascot.

Mike McCoy, athletic director, gave a speech encouraging everyone to go and support the men and women’s soccer teams during their Pink Out games. McCoy also wanted everyone to go and support the football team this Saturday in their battle against Friends University.

Following the excitement of McMoy’s speech, Kilpotric and Hawthorne announced this years’ homecoming court. Further voting will take place outside the Java Jinx this Thursday and Friday. For more information about the candidates and voting, click here.

Many other events for homecoming will take place throughout this week. This includes a spelling bee, dodgeball, window painting and much more. Be sure to keep an eye out for the festivities.

Builder football will kickoff on Saturday around 1:30 p.m. and your homecoming king and queen will be announced during halftime.
