Southwestern volleyball fell short to the Tabor Blue Jays 3-0 in yesterday’s match. A good turn out by fans and supporters to cheer on the Lady Builders. Carly Matthews played well on defense tallying up 17 digs. As on offense Brittany Craddock had a total of 9 kills.

Carolina Garbato, head volleyball coach said, “There is progress but it isn’t where we want to be yet.”

The Blue Jays hitters ball placement was a problem and is not a bad issue but will be worked on for the preparation of upcoming games.

“Our setters took more control last night and we just need to work on getting the ball down,” said Chris Weathers, assistant volleyball coach.

Team captain Sarah Loesing junior majoring in Biology said, “It was just a minor hiccup. We passed well then got more aggressive in the 2nd and 3rd sets.”

Loesing played well defensively and came out of the game for a little to address an injured nose.

The Lady Builders will take on a triangular Saturday. Ottawa at 1 p.m and Saint Mary Nebraska at 5 p.m at the Stuart Field House.
