There will be a blood drive at 9a.m. to 1p.m. in Pound’s Lounge on Oct. 18. The blood drive will be run by the Southwestern College Athletic Training Society in cooperation with the American Red Cross.
Donors are required to bring a photo ID in order to verify their participation. SCATS needs to fill up a total of 56 spots and 48 have currently signed up.
Students who want to donate simply need to come to Pound’s Lounge and sign up. The entire process should take about an hour.
Tiffany Rodgers, athletic training senior, is the president of SCATS. Rodger said “It is really important that we as students participate in helping out the community.”
This will be the first time that SCATS will host it as opposed to the nursing department who hosted it in the past years.
If you would like more information on the blood drive you can visit the Red Cross’s website here.
