Southwestern won all three sets, 27-25, 25-21, and 25-13.
Donnie Wallace, head coach said, “We are getting better and I see progress every time we step on the court.”
Fans can see how much team chemistry the Lady Builders have. “This group of girls is such a fun team which makes coaching that much more enjoyable,” said Wallace.
At this point last year, the team had a 1-5 record. Kaley Rodriguez, junior defensive specialist said, “We have more confidence and try to keep a positive attitude. We really try to push ourselves.”
The Lady Builders next game will be Sept. 16 and 17 in Olathe for the Mid American Nazarene Tournament.
Kindell Copeland, senior setter said, “Coming off of this win will be good going into this tournament. It will be good competition, and win or lose we’re going to be better because of it.”
