Coming off a win at Huston-Tillotson College on Saturday, the Lady Builders were swept by the Bethel College Threshers (25-19, 25-17, 25-21) at Stewart Field House Tuesday night.

“We played our best match all year tonight, but so did Bethel”, said head volleyball coach Donnie Wallace. When asked what drove the team into finishing out the last match with enthusiasm, senior Jordan Stalder said, “We weren’t ready to give up.”

Junior Taylor Sisneros plans to come to practice ready to go and work hard to get ready for their next match on Thursday. The girls will lean on each other and stay focused to keep their spirits up.

Wallace is making an attempt to revitalize the student section by getting the fans involved. “We have the smallest student section in our conference,” said Wallace. There will be give-a-ways, prizes and activities at all the home games to get the fans involved and excited about Southwestern volleyball.

You can catch the Lady Builders Thursday at 7 p.m. in Stewart Field House where they will host the University of Saint Mary.
