The No. 12 ranked Lady Builders went to Bethany, Okla. Tuesday night and returned with a 76-56 win against Southwestern Christian University. The Lady Builders started off with a 9-0 run in the first quarter. They were shooting 44 percent from the field and drained nine of their 20 total three-point attempts.

“We were expecting to go out and play hard and accomplish what was needed to be done as a team. Yes we did accomplish what was needed from us for the most part,” said Courtney Watson, sophomore forward.

Coming into this season, the freshman have succeeded almost all expectations, “So far they have stepped up and have done what was needed of them,” said Watson.

“As a senior, I expect to win conference and make a push in the national tournament,” said Catherine Haikin, senior guard.

The Lady Builders will be playing at the Mid-America Nazarene Tip-off Classic Nov. 11 and 12 against Avila University and Mid America Nazarene.

“We play great as a team and we know how to have fun,” said Brett Bates, senior guard.
