The Lady Builders grabbed an early lead at home Saturday against the McPherson Bulldogs for their third straight win.

Brett Bates, junior guard, scored three points within the first minute of play and scored nine more for the Builders from the three point line. The Builders continued to outplay the Bulldogs both offensively and defensively and ended the first half 41-26.

The Builders maintained their lead through the second half and finished the game 89-62.

Tylar Hartfield, senior forward, led the Builders in total points with 20 and in rebounds with seven. Bates followed with 14 points and 6 rebounds.

The Bulldogs found success at the free throw line, making 88 percent of their shots compared to the Builder’s 69 percent.

The women are stand at third in the conference with a 10-4 record, 17-6 overall.

The Builders play again Thursday at 6 p.m. against the Friend’s University Falcons.
